Prof. Dr. Wasim Qazi

Dr. is a distinguished educationist and visionary leader with over three decades of experience transforming the educational landscape of Pakistan. His career is defined by a steadfast commitment to ensuring accessible, high-quality education for all, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, or socioeconomic status.

Dr. Qazi has been instrumental in the establishment and advancement of several leading higher education institutions in Pakistan, including Hamdard University, The University of Lahore, The University of Faisalabad, Iqra University, and Saifee Burhani University. His contributions span urban and rural areas across Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where he has championed academic excellence and sustainable institutional growth. He currently serves as the founding Vice Chancellor of Karachi Metropolitan University. Previously, he held two terms as President/Vice Chancellor of Iqra University and served as Vice Chancellor of Saifee Burhani University, promoting entrepreneurial, innovative, and student-focused education.

In addition to his leadership roles, Dr. Qazi is a Visiting Professor at Roma Tre University, Italy, and Southwest Jiaotong University, China. During his tenure as President/Vice Chancellor of Iqra University, Dr. Qazi emphasized creating sustainable financial models and robust governance systems. Mr. Syed Hassan Ali Shah

Dr. Najeeb Saad

American-trained Prosthodontist, Implantologist, and Esthetic Dentistry Specialist
An American trained Prosthodontist, Implantologist, and Esthetic Dentistry Specialist, serving patients at Najeeb Saad Dental Clinic and at Alvi Dental Hospital.
He began his dental career by obtaining a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from Baqai- University in Karachi in 1997, followed by a prestigious three-year postgraduate program in Prosthodontics from Rutgers University, NJ USA.
With 13 years of experience in Canada, Dr. Saad rose to the position of Tenured Associate Professor in Prosthodontics at the University of Western Ontario. There, he led the Prosthodontics department, chaired Restorative Dentistry, and held the role of Assistant Director of Dentistry.
Upon returning to Pakistan, Dr. Najeeb Saad contributed significantly to the field of dentistry, taking on leadership roles such as Section Head of Dentistry and later Chief of Dentistry and Dermatology at Aga Khan University Hospital.
His achievements have earned him multiple accolades, including the W.W. Wood Award for Clinical Teaching and the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry during his time in Canada. Among his many areas of expertise, he is particularly known for pioneering the concept of “teeth in a day" where dental implants are placed, and fully functional teeth are provided immediately.

Shehzad Roy

Singer/Musician, Founder and President of Zindagi Trust
Shehzad Roy is a Pakistani singer-songwriter, guitarist, activist, social worker, producer and humanitarian. He started his singing career in 1995.

He has received the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Medal of Excellence) in 2005, Sitara-i-Eisaar (Star of Sacrifice) In 2006 and Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence) in 2018 from the Government of Pakistan. For his organisation’s rehabilitation work after the 2005 Kashmir earthquake, he was awarded the Sitara-e- Eisaar in 2006. He was also selected to be a torch bearer for the 2008 Olympic Games

Philanthropic work

In 2002, Shehzad established Zindagi Trust, a non-governmental, non-profit organization that strives to Improve the quality of education available to the average Pakistani.

Paid to Learn

In 2003, the Trust pioneered the concept of I-am-poid-to-learn, a non-profit that offers working children an alternative to child labor, makes them aware of their rights as children, as workers and as citizens. With nearly 1800 students in schools across Pakistan, a 2.2-year accelerated primary education course is taught to the children who spend most of their days working in car-repair shops & other general stores in Karachi, Lahore & Rawalpindi.

Muhammad Zakaria Iqbal is a distinguished Islamic scholar and certified expert in Islamic Finance and Shariah Compliance. A graduate of the prestigious Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi, he completed the rigorous Dars-e-Nizami program and earned his specialization (Takhassus) in Hadith. He belongs to a revered scholarly family, being the grandson of Mufti Muhammad Shafi, the first Grand Mufti of Pakistan and a key figure in the Pakistan Movement.
With extensive experience in teaching and academic research, Muhammad Zakaria Iqbal has contributed significantly to the fields of Tafseer, Hadith, Fiqh, Islamic History, and Islamic Finance. As a Senior Faculty Member and Research Fellow at Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi, he continues to guide students and professionals in Islamic scholarship and contemporary Shariah-based solutions for corporate and financial challenges.
He is also a certified Shariah scholar in Islamic Banking and Finance, holding qualifications from the Centre for Islamic Economics (CIE), led by the globally renowned Islamic finance expert, Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani.
In 2014, Muhammad Zakaria Iqbal joined TPLI Window Takaful Operations as Head of Shariah Compliance. In this role, he oversees daily operations, transactions, and activities to ensure compliance with Shariah principles. Additionally, he serves as Shariah Advisor to Bait-ul-Sukoon Hospital, contributing to healthcare governance through an Islamic ethical framework.
Beyond his academic and professional roles, Muhammad Zakaria Iqbal is an accomplished author and translator. His notable works include:

Dr. Asad Raza Jafri

Dr. Asad Raza Jafri is an accomplished ophthalmologist and a syndicate member of Karachi Metropolitan University (KMU). He serves as an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) and is a consultant at Darul Sehat Hospital in Karachi. With over 17 years of teaching experience, he specializes in oculoplastics and general ophthalmologic surgeries.
