History of KMU

Karachi Metropolitan University (KMU) established as general university under the Sindh
Assembly Act No.LIV of 2023, is a public sector institution with Karachi Medical and Dental
College (KMDC) and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital as its constituent integral units. KMU is
dedicated to delivering quality education, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, promoting
innovation, and contributing to the socio-economic and cultural development of the city.
Offering wide-range of demand-driven programs at undergraduate, graduate and
postgraduate levels, designed to meet international standards. With strong partnerships and
academic linkages with leading universities across North America, United Kingdom, Europe,
Central Asia, Southeast Asia and other regions, KMU ensures its students receive globally
